The History Channel has a new series called MysteryQuest. The show premieres on Wednesday, September 16th, at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
The premiere episode investigates the death of Adolf Hitler.
Many people believe that Hitler did not commit suicide in his underground bunker. There are no photos and no witnesses. The physical evidence is questionable. This gives plenty of room for theories to grow.
The first episode of MysteryQuest investigates Hitler’s death using forensic evidence, interviews, and computer modeling. Much of the episode is dedicated to examining evidence held by the Russians for decades. Part of that evidence is an alleged fragment from Hitler’s skull.
The most interesting part of show was the interview with one of Hitler’s bodyguards. He didn’t reveal anything amazing, but I was a little surprised that he was still alive and willing to talk about his experience.
I enjoyed the show. I don’t generally study conspiracy theories or mysterious events. However, they make for good entertainment.
Future episodes feature Jack the Ripper, Stonehenge, Alcatraz, and the Bermuda Triangle.

I fail to see the history in many of the History Channels shows. However, MysteryQuest does look like it actually talks about history!
